China Scam or Schemes: Beware - Golden Bridge Visa - Scam Front For Rebecca Tang's China ESL Foreign Teacher Recruiter Trap!
So notorious is the "China ESL" name as the biggest recruiter scam in China history, featuring David Valley, Derrick Yazwa, and Rebecca Tang that they regularly create a new name, various emails, and phone number to recruit and then cheat foreign teachers that they have begun a new and somewhate devious method. Knowing that teachers coming to work in China need visas, they have started advertising "Gold Beidge Vis Services" and anyone who responds will be asked if they want to work in China. If the answer is yes, then they have duped yet another teacher who never hears the name "China ESL" until they arrive on China.  So basically we have the same old bait and switch and extortion scam being peddled with a different label.  BEWARE FRIENDS - THIS WOMAN IS SUPER SLICK AS YOU CAN SEE FROM A SAMPLING OF THE ONLINE COMPLAINTS BELOW.

My BF was deported because of China ESL!
Institute Review
He believed everything this woman told her about working on a business visa with no problems. The PSB did not agree and after only 3 months working at ***** English he was stopped for a random check and arrested. We called Rebecca for help and she just told us to call the school principal who said it was Rebecca's problem to fix.  Rebecca then told my BF to offer the PSB 5,000 rmb to avoid being deported. They took the money and accepted it as his fine, but he was taken directly to the airport to buy a ticket back to Milwaukee.

This was last year. He was supposed to come visit me in Beijing this Spring festival so we could take a holiday in South China together but when he went to get a tourist visa, he found out he can't go back to China, even as a tourist, for five years!  All because Rebecca's schools don't want to pay for Z visas. I hate that greedy b*t*h.  I want to hire a hacker to put this banner on her web site...

Rebecca Tang & China ESL Are Infamous Frauds In China
4 years ago.
Institute Review
I was asked last year by Rebecca if I wanted to earn an extra 5,000 yuan per month just to take calls from foreign teachers and vouch for her operation. I did not know much about her at the time, and she is very friendly and charming, so I was going to do it. She said she would even buy me a separate Iphone with a simm card already in it and if I didn't want to use my own name that was okay. 5,000rmb in China pays the monthly rent so before you judge me, remember that I did not know how bad she was at the time. She told me she was also looking for foreign teachers to blog for her and visit English corners and hand out flyers for her and she would pay 1,000 rmb per day for that. So I told a couple of my buddies to see if they wanted to make some extra cash too. And that's when I got a quick education about China ESL from one of my fellow teachers who showed me this old link from 2013: http://china.eslteachercafe.com/topic2205-scam-warning-rebecca-tang-chinaesl-rip-off.aspx?lastpage=1#post6891

Then yest*r*ay, I saw this link and decided to make this post. http://www.th*b*ijinger.com/forum/2015/02/02/where-huge-china-esl-rebecca-tang-scam-warning-thread

Looking back, I am so glad I did not end up taking her calls or I would be part of this fraud.

China ESL & Golden Bridge Visa & Golden Bridge ESL are criminal enterprises IMO
4 years ago.
Institute Review
This company in any other country would be prosecuted for racketeering.  But in China there is regulatory oversight by any bureau and no police actions will be taken against them unless the news media shines a spotlight on them. But in the case of Mrs. Tang, my information is that she is dating a Captain in the Beijing police department who is probably shielding her.  Let's hope they break up soon and don't get married.

Personally I have never worked for China ESL but many of my TOEFL and IELTS students did work for her and left within a few months. Most of them had guilt attacks of their conscience and others were tired of arguing every pay day.

I think this a company that honest people should avoid. Google their operation and decide for yourself.
The pros
None that I can see
The cons
About 50 complaints you can easily find online
Advice to Management
Retire already Mrs. Tang
Institution Location
Some hideout in Beijing
