I know that POLY Hwajeong has had some negative reviews and I just wanted to let all those people considering jobs at this campus that I have had a completely different experience than the people that published a negative review.
Since the first time I arrived at the school both the Director and staff have been nothing but supportive and encouraging. Of course being a teacher in a foreign country is not going to be a walk in the park. Every school requires you to work hard. The difference in people experience I believe is based solely on their outlook of life. If you are positive and happy person that naturally you try and see the best in every situation. I love my job. The staff that I work with are incredible, always helpful and passionate about what they do. The work environment has changed dramatically at the school since our turnover in staff this past March. It is a much happier and more pleasant place to work. The children are truly amazing and make the job worth doing.
Of course every school has there fair share of challenges but in my experience that has not come from the adminitration. Parents expectations here are different from home and that is just part of what we sign up for when we agree to leave the comfort of our home to live abroad.
The point I want to make is to take reviews with a grain of salt. If you are considering a job at this campus have an interview and see for yourself how you feel about the school. I have had nothing but a good experience and would hate for you to miss out on an amazing opportunity because someone else decided they were miserable there.
