Taiwan School Black List: Inter English School Homei TaiwanAVOID Inter English School in Homei, Taiwan.

This school is run by Giant Hsu and wife Rita Hsu.

Inter English school is currently under investigation by Taiwn Labor Bureau and reported by Homei Precinct Changhua County Police.

When a new foreign teacher is hired mr. Hsu instructs them to lie to the Taiwanese Customs officials that they are in Taiwan to visit as a tourist instead of to work at a job.

The employer Giant Hsu instructed foreign teachers arriving at Taipei airport to lie to the customs officials that they are in Taiwan as tourists so they can begin working right away without a work permit which is illegal in Taiwan. The proper proceedure is for the newly hired teacher to go to Hong Kong, obtain a work permit, THEN go to Taiwan and begin working. If the foreign teacher cannot get through customs, Mr. Hsu would buy a plane ticket bound for Hong Kong for the newly hired  foreign teacher so they can show the customs officials the E-Ticket on their smartphone and once they get through the airport he would cancel the ticket. Mr. Hsu was reported to the Homei Precinct of Changua County police station after email evidence of Mr.Hsu instructing his foreign teachers to lie to customs officials and evidence of Mr. Hsu withholding the salary of his teachers. The Homei precinct police photo copied the passport of the teacher then immediately faxed over all the information to the Taiwanese Labor Bureau on Friday August 9, 2014, around 3pm Taipei time.

Mr. Hsu also pays only HALF of the hours you work. For example, if you work 6 hours on a given day, 3hrs teaching then you have to do 3hrs of 'lesson plan' which is work that you WILL NOT get paid for. Your salary WILL NOT be 620 NTD/hour but 310 NTD/hour because whatever teaching hours you work, you have to work the same amount of teaching hours which is UNPAID.

The employer also searches through the personal belongings of the foreign teachers and if you give him your passport, he will NOT give it back. When that happens you have to go to the police station to get it back.

There is a reason why is foreign teachers don't stay at Inter English School past 6 months and even his Taiwanese Teacher's Aid employees quit.

There may be reputable English teaching jobs out there, but this is not one of them.
