Native Camp: an online faceless and cowardly "teaching site" recruiting and abusing thousands of teachers.
Institute Review
Chronically low pay, glitches that affect the teachers pay or ratings, students manipulating the platform to avoid paying, vague or ambiguous comments about ratings or complaints without evidence, mysterious payment procedures not spelled out in the company FAQs, students cutting the class off to avoid paying and damaging ratings, ringers taking classes to force down native speakers ratings in favor of local office teachers, no working contact number for home based teachers, ignored messages from teachers via the company intranet, emailed responses to teacher inquiries often off topic or vaguely referenced, office personnel purposely deflecting complaints by saying "this is office not home-based", unsupervised young students who don't pay attention to the teacher or do crafts while the class is in session then poor or no rating is given, young students who chat about their toys and won't engage with the teacher then low rating is given, persons taking "free conversation" class then attacking the teacher regarding teachers' location or politics of the country they're from, poor training videos featuring models who have weak English skills and a plastic speaking style, salary ranges described in the company bio discouraged or manipulated in the system to avoid payment or discounted, disconnected or non working contact numbers listed on websites, company listed in three countries so no central office indicated, company acknowledges students having weak wifi connections but still penalizes the teacher through the rating system, rating system not explained in detail only various "taboo" behaviors mentioned, only a few of the many ratings visible to the teacher, and not actually the negative comments, teachers required by parents to be "edutainers" or "dancing monkeys" for young children explicitly not encouraged in company verbiage or training videos, rude or abusive adults who discourage the teacher from actual teaching, platform used by businesses to translate advertising materials then giving a low rating to teachers, full time work is not encouraged and actually discouraged by company behavior, tutors charged for receiving their salary twice per month as opposed to once per month, account deactivation occurs with little or no evidence or vaguely worded explanations. From researching NC using Google or other SEs this behavior has been happening for a long time and has not been addressed by senior management or it's CEO Kunihiro Tanikawa
. NC is building wealth by doing volume, charging low fees, and abusing teachers/tutors who are just trying to feed their families. Rude, unconscionable, wrong, and evil.
The pros
You can work anytime if you're a native speaker; not so much if English is not your primary language. The school provides course materials but often the materials contain incorrect grammar, word usage, and sentence structure.
The cons
If you're home-based you will not be able to establish a consistent income flow from month to month; the website boasts that teachers/tutors can make up to P80,000 per month but it's not possible.

A) Discount programs offered to parents reduce the pay to nearly zero for a thirty minute class and students manipulate the system to avoid paying. Students will often brag that they've gotten thousands of free classes.

B) You won't be paid for every class you teach; it's possible to cover eight classes and get paid for four.

C) Office teachers will send in fake students to cut the class after a few minutes and then NC will claim that your internet is unstable and deactivate you. The fake students will also cut your class after a few minutes and leave you a poor rating. Poor ratings reduce your bonus for taking many students and NC will use this as cause to deactivate you.

D) There is no working number to call to discuss issues; the one working number is for the Cebu office and the person says with a smirk that "this is office-based" not "home-based". The only method for contact is the website intranet; they may respond to your message or not depending on their whim. Tutors have complained that messages are often snarky in replies.

E) Their main base is in Tokyo, their legal office for contracts is in Singapore, and one of their management centers is in the Philippines. They've made it difficult, not impossible, to register complaints at government levels.
Advice to Management
You're on the radar of the CFT Watchers; since you've ignored previous posts on social media and on websites you've been marked for shut down. Your abuse of home-based teachers/tutors who are just trying to pay their bills and feed their families is unconscionably horrific and evil.

Relationship
I represent teachers and tutors who have been abused by online "teaching platforms" who openly abuse educators. I have connections with the CFT Watchers and other watchdog groups in Asia.
